Do a slow one now! Kristof X Tóth Réka practice their English with “Dancing Snowflakes.” In this off kilter pop THEY are the snowflakes, on skates, on the rink. In love (i think). Aww.

If you want to break my heart, know we are skating on thin ice. I ain’t a hockey player babe, I won’t put up a fight. But I’ll give you a pass if it’s after the holiday’s. So “Won’t You be My Babe for Christmas.” Kam Stewart’s brassy alt pop is the hesitant love song of the new gen.

So it guess Santa met his missus figure skating. That’s so by Lea Salonga’s “Even Santa Fell in Love.” Sweet, yea syrupy, orchestral pop. Almost kidsong.

Amanda Lehmann hearkens to fairy tales more than to Santa myth in “An Old Christmas Day.” This Celtic inspired pop, Jack Frost will be waiting to go skating with you; Aurora shimmers in the icy view. Blustery cool.

CJ Soul (feat. Jasmyne the Flower) takes reality in stride when Xmas has “Cali Vibes.” There’s nothing like the snow machines at Disney; Hope the Queen Mary ice skating rink ain’t too busy, Cause we bouta get our skate on. Travelogue rap.

Brett Eldredge’s “Mr. Christmas” is NOT Santa Claus, but he seems to be your sugar daddy. ‘Cuz he’s in big band love with you (you’re skatin’ circles round his heart), and he wants to make your spirit bright. This sizzles.

Distance creates its own reality. When Maye is far away, she wants to “See You This Christmas.” With powerful diva pop (excellent pipes) she wants to go ice skating even though you are awful at it. Bring a camera!

Colbie Caillat has more of a “Happy Christmas” as she remembers holding Grampa’s hand while skating back in the day. Country (for the messaging) but unabashedly pop (for the happy part).

“Rockefeller Center” is a bitter regret for November Cold. After she passed, you realized you never went skating like she wanted. Rocking BLUE ALERT remorse.

Christmas With the relatives has India Ramey’s equanimity and poise skating on thin ice. Her cure-all is a “Cocktail for Christmas.” MY cure-all is this honky tonkin’ rockabilly. Aw, that’s the spot.

Rockefeller (Center) returns as a skating destination in the soul-pop of “Christmas in New York.” Joe soothes with his tenor tweaking croon. It’s all about the love.

For Jesse Biondi, “Christmas Means to Me” a crowd of loved ones. And, if you’re taking notes, hot cocoa then skating. Punchy showtune flavored pop.

Ginger Cat recalls jump blues with their uke-y folk “Christmas With You.” Lots of hugging, snuggling, cuddling–even while skating. Comforting.

Chelsey Coy has been thinking about you, like that figure eight you skated together. But that’s because YOU’RE NOT HERE. So, with a significant back beat she’ll “Send My Love” to you this Christmas. Popping pop.

Gk 243 (Jocline Francis · Prodbyninez) offers to take a trip to the docks for the emirate cable cars; or instead let′s take pics by the Christmas lightings; Ice skating is a part of the plan. The accented rap of “Winter Season” seems to include private place in-jokes. But it’s cool.

Danielle Doucette lists odder assortments for when “It’s Christmas.” Work bonuses and raises make the list with ice skating this time. And the enthusiastically untrained singing and uncertain melody makes my list. Listen.

Mylen overlays a little doo wop onto jazzy pop for a poignant reminiscence “Kid on Christmas Morning.” Charming.

Vina Verde whisper-raps “My Christmas Present is You” so quickly it’s as if she’s trying to get home early. Some fun if tired activities are noted.

Aidan Mark expresses hyperbolic love falling in the easy going pop “Wishlist.” Since it happens to be the most wonderful time of the year, they’ll consummate with skating.

Johnny O gets even more middle of the road with his piano lounge “What Christmas is Meant to be.” This laundry list of seasonal symptoms provokes little nostalgia, no joy. Maybe a hmm.

Travis August (feat. Prestxn) applies soul to the standard list to uplift the material into the rap “Christmas & U.” Much better.
